PrepareNow was founded by two resilience professionals, Vikki and Laurie, who share a commitment to making emergency preparedness simple, practical and accessible for every household.
Our story
PrepareNow began with a conversation between two colleagues who had spent their careers preparing organisations for the unexpected. Vikki and Laurie had worked through storms, power cuts, cyber incidents, evacuations and major disruption, leading and supporting teams, communities and critical services under pressure.
But outside the professional world, they saw that many families didn't know where to start. Households are affected first by disruption, yet get the least clear guidance. Families shouldn't have to search dozens of websites, interpret technical guidance or wade through "survivalist" content.
So they set out to build a modern, friendly, accessible preparedness brand that gives households the tools professionals rely on, without the jargon or panic.
Our background
Between them, the founders have decades of experience in emergency planning, crisis response and resilience across the military (including reservist homeland resilience), local-authority emergency planning, Local Resilience Forum work and global financial-sector resilience.
